NEXA is a physical cluster of AI servers, that listens to all channels through a tv cable and performs a transcript of everything said on national television, each day. This volume of data is so large, that it can be overwhelming. NEXA cleverly applies a series of steps to atomise raw speech and extract facts and metadata. Then, it searches for the corroborative truth between multiple channels, determines main subjects, biases and framing. In reality, approx. 0.2% of all information discussed each day is novel and unbiased. Once key subjects and their context are determined, a national “story” is constructed that evolve organically, branching and pruning itself. And the most remarkable insight is that at a macroscopic level, all information rolled through a society can predict its behaviour and can lead to its understanding, and the overall “brain” of that society can be mapped and analysed.
