The SkyHunter is designed to fill a critical gap in modern airspace security, attacks by fast and cheap quadcopters. With most critical civilian infrastructure at risk from these emerging threats (airports in particular) and with only seconds to respond to an sudden surprise attack, the SkyHunter is uniquely equipped to protect very vulnerable and high value targets. It is equipped with an optical wide-field sensor that scans the sky it is defending and has an onboard microphone array, to compute the acoustical harmonics of incoming small drones. With a 0-200 kmph in 1 second acceleration and a max 5G turn, it can out manoeuvre any attacking quadcopter, ensuring a successful takedown. each SkyHunter is self-reliable, equipped with onboard sensors, edge computing, computer vision tracking and AI detection. Deploying it is as simple as putting it down near a high value objective and powering it on, and a plug-and-play air defence dome is created.
